Don’t miss a unique meeting with Czech foil fencer Alexander Choupenitch, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Czech sport. The bronze medalist from the Tokyo Olympic Games, which was historically the first Olympic medal for Czech fencing, has long been among the world’s elite.
On the piste, fractions of a second, strategy and mental resilience decide the outcome – and during this evening Alexander will give you a glimpse into this fascinating world on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 18.00. In a moderated discussion with Eduard Forejt, you will hear not only the story of his journey to the Olympic podium, but also what the everyday life of a top athlete looks like, how he prepares for bouts where a single touch decides the victory, and what it is like to study and train abroad.
The talk is part of Balance Fest at Balance Club Brumlovka and also of the Hovory z Brumlovky series, which brings inspiring meetings with interesting personalities from sport, culture and public life.
Come and listen to a story about courage, discipline and the journey to the top.
